META Group (META) operates internationally to shape knowledge-based opportunities from the idea to the start-up and scale-up stages.
The main focus is use of research results, including open innovation, start-ups support and access to early-stage funding.
META is present at different locations and is the Contractor of the European Commission in promoting and supporting the use of research results deriving from projects funded by programs such as FP7 and H2020 and cohesion funds (ESIF).
META is leader in the exploitation of research results funded by the European Commission’s Framework Programmes, with over 1200 projects supported. It is also in charge of providing services for the international scale-up, through InvestHorizon 2.0, of over 500 companies, accompanied to private investors.
META, through META Ventures and Xplorer Fund, has over 15 years of experience in managing public-private funds and financial instruments, and has invested in over 100 companies.
